Participatory Decision making – We value participatory
decision making. While our church has a leadership team and a finance
team, all members are encouraged to contribute ideas or ask questions.
Spiritual Fellowship
- While each of us come from different church backgrounds, we put our
differences aside and come together in spiritual fellowship each week
for our Sunday service. We value fellowship as an effective way both
to breakdown walls and build genuine, grace filled community.
Community
– Whether we are meeting to discuss church issues, attending services,
or sharing a meal our members enjoy spending time together and more
importantly, take care of each other.
Inspiring Worship
– “Inspiration” is “the breathing in of God’s
spirit”. Our worship service is an opportunity to do just that,
opening ourselves to transformation, creativity, and guidance.
Christ-centered
– We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, following
his teachings as recorded in the Holy Bible.
Prayer – Spending time in an ongoing
conversation with God is an integral part of our worship service as
well as in our personal lives during the week.
Integrity – We uphold to our members
and to our community integrity in maintaining institution, spirituality,
and character in every aspect of our church life as it is written in
our constitution.
Positive Attitude – Throughout the
challenges which face our church as it grows, we look to the present
and future with a positive hopeful attitude that God’s Will may
be fulfilled.
Acceptance of Others – Because many
of us have felt unwelcomed in other churches, we strive to be an open
and welcoming place for all people offering our community as a safe
and healing oasis in a sometimes harsh world.
Service – We believe and value service
as the hallmark of a life lived for others. We see it as the surest
way to embody Christ’s character and spirit.
